BMW Egypt shows no respect to death of Ganal
Instead of sending out the press release about the death of Dr. Michael Ganal, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG after a severe illness, they preferred to inform some media about Marketing Manager Mohamed Fawzy leaving BMW Egypt to join as BMW Middle East as the new Marketing Manager.
I was very surprised indeed of BMW Egypt’s lack of respect since Dr. Michael Ganal had visited Egypt several times before and had been supporting BMW Egypt throughout the years in every possible way, especially during the Bavarian-Gate’ crises with the Egyptian customs which has not been finalized yet.
It is very obvious that BMW Egypt still needs a lot of private lessons’ about PR & Communication, and since Mohamed Fawzy left the company now they should consider hiring a professional PR company instead of hiring unskilled and ineffectual PR & Communication executives and marketing managers.

Their customer care procedure is excellent and their interest in providing best value for money is strong. There are many ways of showing respect to a dead person. One way is to show it on newspaper, another is to communicate on a personal level to the family of the deceased. For my preference, in these matters, I think the personal note is more genuine and sincere.

The ignorance which BMW Egypt is showing here is the same ignorance I face everytime I service my car at their Bavarian Auto service center. Thank you for showing and explaining their behavior to the public. I hope the mother-company in Munich takes some action.
