BACK TO BLACK: Restyled Buell City X XB9SX joins Buell’s 2009 Line-up

Oxford-Milwaukee-Cairo / Although there aren't too many Buell fans and owners in Egypt and the Middle East region yet, we still thought that we should inform the possible new and potential Buell owners among our readers about this new 'black' model from Buell, the Buell City X XB9SX.

The Buell City X XB9SX, known for its standout contemporary styling, is one of the best-selling bikes in the Buell range. The Buell City X XB9SX takes an even more uncompromising twist in 2009 with the addition of a new fully blacked-out model. Also available in striking Hero blue and Cherry bomb red, riders can get that aggressive look without breaking the bank.

A street bike for the middle weight, the Buell City X XB9SX was designed especially for the urban environment. Features such as the upright rider position, wide Supermoto style handle bars and intuitive handling help the Buell City X XB9SX nip around potholes and dodge through back alleys, making it a streetfighter in its own league.

This new black powdercoat finish adds to Buell’s contemporary dark underground feel for 2009 and has been applied to the frame, swingarm, engine, fork tubes, triple clamps, brake calipers and other components.

The broad powerband of the Buell Thunderstorm 984 V-Twin engine, delivering a whopping 79 Nm / 58 ft lbs of torque, lets the Buell City X XB9SX pull briskly away from the traffic and the new saddle shape for 2009 drops the seat height by 33mm to 764mm. Hand deflectors, dual headlight grilles and frame pucks fend off minor cosmetic damage. Pirelli Scorpion Sync tyres meanwhile grip all road surfaces and add aggressive style.

Unfortunately we did not have the chance to test-drive this piece of art yet. But we hope that Michael Carney from Harley Davidson Middle East will arrange a test-drive for us soon.
