Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series Headlines Dubai Autodrome National Race Day Weekend

Five separate racing series kick-off at the Dubai Autodrome by Union Properties on 15 and 16 February, as the ‘home of UAE motorsports’ opens its gates for Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East Race this weekend.
Headlining the two-day event will be the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East, featuring identically prepared racing versions of the Lamborghini Huracan. Spread across four classes – Pro, Pro-Amateur, Amateur and Lamborghini Cup – drivers will compete in three races on the weekend.

The race is an exciting opportunity for motorsport fans to watch as Lamborghini Huracans battle it out on the track to provide a weekend packed with thrill and action.

The end-of-season champions for each class will be invited to the Super Trofeo World Finals in Sant’Agata Bolognese, a suburb in Bologna, Italy, where they will compete against champions from other Super Trofeo series based in Europe, Asia and North America.

Also competing on the 5.39-kilometre FIA-sanctioned track in Dubailand will be the Al Masaood National Motorcycle Championship, Formula 4 UAE, NGK UAE Touring Car Championship and the Bahrain Superbike Championship.

The Al Masaood National Motorcycle Championship made its debut at Dubai Autodrome in November last year when 16 local racers lined up to test their skills against each other and the track across three classes – Supersport, Superstock and Ducati Cup.

Formula 4 UAE is one of the premier open-wheel training series for drivers who aspire to one day compete in Formula 1. Sanctioned by the FIA and sponsored by the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE, drivers compete in cars built by racecar manufacturer Tatuus that feature 1.4-litre Fiat Abarth engines producing 160 horsepower.

The UAE Touring Car Championship has been a fixture on the calendar since 2008, featuring popular automobile brands that prove to be formidable once on the track. The highly competitive Clio Cup offers winners the opportunity to race in the Clio Cup France, courtesy of the French multinational car manufacturer, Renault.

The Bahrain Superbike Championship will feature riders competing on identically prepared Ducati 899 Panigales.
Spectator entry for Grandstand and Race Paddock is free. The event will be run from 9am to 6pm on both days.
