Magna takes lead in race for Opel


Canadian-based vehicle parts manufacturer is said to be in pole position to take control over General Motors Europe as the manufacturer starts to consider the three bids for its Opel operations. GM is set to start exclusive talks with one of the three bidders for the up-for-sale business in the next two weeks. And it has emerged that the German Government has thrown its weight behind the Magna bid. Chinese BAIC is out of the bidder-race.
