Auto Arabia Test-drive series: The McLaren 12C Spider is setting the benchmark very high, ahead of the Ferrari 458 Italia

The past three months have been extremely hectic and busy for us at Auto Arabia, since we had dozens of exclusive and impressive test-drives with the best luxury and super sport cars worldwide, which we conducted allover Europe, Egypt and the UAE, in addition to opening a new representative office in Dubai.

The most interesting and impressive test-drive during those past months was without doubt the McLaren Spider 12C, which will not only give the Ferrari 458 Italia a very hard time, but which is also a very hot contender and candidate for winning its category in the upcoming 2013 Middle East Motor Award. Taking into consideration the very professional media approach of McLaren Middle East and also the very customer-friendly approach in their customer events, I predict that the McLaren 12C and the 12C Spider will very soon be the most popular car in its segment in the UAE and Middle East, ahead of its fierce rival, the Ferrari 458 Italia and 458 Spider.

We had the opportunity of testing the McLaren 12C Spider over a period of almost 4 days, during which we were staying at the luxurious and ideally-located The Address Downtown Hotel, right next to the famous Dubai Mall and the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa.

We will also bring you a very interesting interview with the Traffic Police Chief in Dubai about the Road Safety situation in Dubai as well as a very special and exclusive feature about the exotic cars of the Special Law Enforcement Units of the Dubai Traffic Police, which we will accompany for one night with the McLaren 12C Spider.
