BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo one of debut-highlights at 2013 Dubai International Motor Show

The BMW 7 Series is one of the most popular models in its segment in Germany, as well as in the GCC region and Egypt.

That is why I was very surprised, and happy at the same time, when a few weeks ago I saw a 'special-edition' BMW 760Li at the AGMC BMW dealer showroom on Sheikh Zayed road in Dubai.

Now the BMW 760 Li V12 M Bi-Turbo is making its official debut which I consider one of the most important highlights at the Dubai Motor Show this year, and which will surely attract many potential customers who were considering to buy the new Mercedes S-Class, especially after the current fifth-generation BMW 7 series (F01, available since 2008) has won several comparison tests in Germany against the brand-new 2014 Mercedes S-Class (222 Series).

The BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo, conceptualized and produced exclusivity for the Middle East market, made its Middle East debut on the BMW stand at the Dubai International Motor Show, taking place from the 5-9th November 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo is the first 7 Series model to wear the famed M badge. Powerful to its core, the 760Li is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 Twin-Turbo charged engine that produces 544hp, 750 Nm of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission that catapults the sedan from 0 to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds.

The bespoke interior is upholstered in premium materials that include 100% leather in Nappa Oyster and features a choice of orange, blue, red or black contrasting M colour stitching and iDrive controller, air conditioning vents and other levers in a ceramic finish.

In addition, the interior trim is in BMW Individual Piano black wood with “V12” stitched into the headrests.

External design features include a choice of eight BMW M exterior colours that have taken inspiration from some of the most famous Formula One tracks from around the world such as Monte Carlo Blue, Silverstone II and Imola Red.

In addition other external touches that make the BMW 760Li M Bi-Turbo special edition stand out from the crowd include the "V12 M Bi-Turbo" and "M" badging engraved in dark chrome on the rear boot lid and door sills and door handles for an added sense of luxury. Adding to its purposeful stance are the exclusive M Sport 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels with double spoke.

A byword for luxury, elegance and innovation, the BMW 7 Series currently ranks as the third biggest market worldwide for BMW 7 Series sales with the flagship model consistently amongst BMW's best-sellers across all GCC markets. Demand for the 7 Series model continues to grow with year-to-date sales (Jan-Oct) increasing 26% compared to the same period last year.

The BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo is expected to enhance the popularity of the BMW 7 Series, and is available from all BMW Group importers across the GCC region.

I personally think that BMW Egypt & Bavarian Auto Group should also consider such a 'special edition' for its locally-assembled and imported BMW 7 Series, as this would surely also enhance the BMW 7 Series popularity in Egypt, just like the BMW 760Li V12 M Bi-Turbo is expected to do in the GCC region.
