Mercedes Benz Egypt 'stars & shines' at 2015 Automech Formula event

The 2015 Automech Formula Motor Show is not necessarily a leading or important motor show on a regional level, as most of the local car dealers and importers use it as a platform to display their current or outdated model range and sell directly to potential customers visiting the show. This makes the Automech Formula a 'sales event' rather than a 'motor-show'.

Nevertheless there are a few car companies who impress us with their stands and their up-to-date models on display. One of those very few companies is Mercedes Benz Egypt, which following a very successful year in the company’s history with record sales in 2014, presented its outstanding line up and innovations in a beautiful unified white color.

The spectrum ranges from the new generation Mercedes-Benz B-Class, to the lavish E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet. The extremely elegant and classy E-Class convertible not only embodies the automotive luxury in every detail but also drives extremely well and reflects the well-known excellent Made-in-Germany quality.

Further Mercedes-Benz models on display at this motor show included the Mercedes-Benz A-Class which is considered one of the best-looking compact hatchbacks in its segment, the extremely eye-catching and popular CLA, the new GLA compact SUV which is as dynamic as it is efficient, the established GLK, and the very good-selling C-Class.

In addition to that the Mercedes stand also featured the market-segment leader E-Class sedan and of course the undisputed 'Star' of the show, the Mercedes S-Class flagship with in the S400 HYBRID version.

Furthermore Mercedes Benz Egypt displayed two fully accessorized editions of the CLA and GLA models.

At the impressive Mercedes-Benz stand, the brand with the three pointed star showed off its new models, namely the generation B-Class with its redefined dynamic design, high quality materials and efficient performance.

The new generation B-Class is loaded with various options and Intelligent Drive systems to meet the expectations of Mercedes’ unique customers. Taking the driving experience a step further, the new B-Class is equipped with the Intelligent Drive concept which includes the COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST system in addition to other options such as a reversing camera, 7G-DCT Automatic transmission, panoramic sliding sunroof and LED high performance headlamp. The new B-class delivers on all the fronts combining safety, practicality and comfort without missing out on sportiness or driving dynamics.

Also introduced in this year’s Automech-Formula are the 2015 E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet which are nothing short of perfection in every aspect.

Equipped with a 2.0 litre engine generating 350Nm of torque and a 7G-TRONIC PLUS Automatic transmission, the car delivers a robust performance designed for maximum efficiency and reliability. Mercedes-Benz is renowned for offering this efficient power with refinement and elegance, guarantying the very finest on-board accommodation thanks to the high grade interior materials and a meticulous attention to details.

The E-Class coupe’ and E-Class cabriolet are generously equipped with numerous innovative options including but not limited to Adaptive brakes with HOLD function, ATTENTION ASSIST, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST and an LED Intelligent Light System. Mercedes-Benz has once again raised the standard of the automotive industry offering the Egyptian market a compelling class leading car.

“Despite the fact that last year was a challenging year, Mercedes-Benz Egypt managed to achieve very strong sales. During 2014 we sold approximately 4,300 cars representing about a 40% growth over 2013. These astounding results were mainly achieved by launching new models and classes such as the new C-Class which set new benchmarks in its segment, the CLA and the new GLA which are extremely popular among new customer groups and of course the S400 HYBRID, the first HYBRID luxury sedan introduced to the Egyptian Automotive market.” said Zakaria Mackary, Director of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Egypt.
