DSV athletes start to new season with Audi

· Early renewal of partnership by another three years
· Misano red is new colour for German winter athletes
· 90 vehicles for athletes, coaches and officials

This much is for certain: it will not be easy for anyone not to notice the German Skiing Association (DSV) this winter. From now on, all athletes, coaches and officials will be on the road with a total of 90 Audi vehicles sporting the distinctive colour Misano red. Today, the athletes received their new models at the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt – right in time before the season for the Alpine and Nordic athletes starts about one week from now.

The partnership between Audi and the DSV dates back more than two decades now and has been extended prematurely by another three years up to and including the 2010/2011 season. "Audi and the DSV – that’s a successful partnership which is consistently being filled with life. We keep our fingers crossed for all the athletes for the coming season,” said Michael Renz, Head of Central Marketing of AUDI AG, on the occasion of handing over the vehicles.

In addition to its DSV commitment, AUDI AG – since the 2002/2003 season -– has been giving its name to the Audi FIS Ski World Cup that is scheduled to start on 26 October with the races in S?lden. The Nordic athletes will start to the new season on the same weekend with the sprint races in Düsseldorf. Via its importers Audi is also partner of the national Alpine teams from Sweden, Finland, France, Liechtenstein, Italy and Switzerland.
