New engine for Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Starting from the midyear of 2011, Porsche will equip the 911 GT3 RS with a new four liter engine, which will produce more than 500 hp. At present, the 3.8 liters boxer engine produces 450 hp and tops by far the naturally aspirated engine range of the 997, which will be replaced by the end of 2011.
This new engine is however already in use in the popular FIA GT3 racing series, where it produces only 480 hp due to the presence of a mandatory air restrictor. From the exterior, differences between the ueber
GT3 and the current model can only be noticed by the slight aerodynamic modifications.
Porsche Middle East did not announce yet when this 450-hp Porsche 911 GT3 RS will hit showrooms in the Middle East and North Africa region.
